An understatement of a title if you live in the southwest, right? How many times a day have I heard that statement uttered at work, the store, even as a 'greeting' of sorts to total strangers?
Yesterday I had a brief respite from the infernos of Texas...I received a text from Sarah Ruth (my sister who lives in the promised land)...her text read, 'I almost hate to tell you this, but it's 79, overcast with a cool breeze blowing'. I responded, 'I cannot hit the delete button fast enough...you're mean...' Sarah lives in Thornton, CO!
She prays everyday for rain to come our way...she IS a great sister!!
So where can I go to escape the heat and find a cool breeze these days? His Word! It comforts...it renews my spirit...it turns my complaining into praise...it is definitely 'that cool breeze' of refreshment for my soul!
BTW...it's still HOT!!!
